Didn't do much but hang around all day. Liam had some stuff to do and we took a walk down to Trader Joe's. That was the extent of our big day. Liam was co-hosting a neighborhood benefit show at El Cid in Silverlake that night. We really weren't sure if we had enough energy to go or not. In the end, we decided why not.
Got there to hear this very, very loud band - the two of us looked at each other and said "no way". Went down the street for some more Mexican food and told Liam we would be back at 8 in time for his shtick. So glad we returned. Liam and Barry did some funny bits as they introduced a couple of poets and comedians. It was a hoot and we laughed our toushies off! However, when the bands came back, it was definitely time for us to go. As we were saying goodbye to Liam backstage, this guy comes up and says "Please let the audience know that we have to move the chairs for the dancing".
Susan: "Dancing!!??"
Guy: "Well, we have to move the chairs" and looks at me like I have three heads.
Susan: "Liam, is there dancing?" Because even with my nonfunctional pieces parts I will never pass up dancing.
Liam: "Come over here and take a look"
I peeked out at the audience and there are these zombie-like creatures just standing there staring at the band with their mouths open.
Liam: "That's how they dance. They can't do that sitting down."
We tore out of there as fast as we could - picked up some ice cream and headed for home.
Next... one day to go
