For our last night outside the US, we decided to get smart and order Indian food since the chef apparently was Indian. Very good choice dinner was delicious. Should have caught onto that in the beginning of our stay. We had talked about going outside the resort but in the end we didn't have much energy to do much of anything.
Sun was out in full force for our final day - spent our final hours reading and swimming in the pool. At around 3 the clouds came and we packed it in and started to get ready for the journey home. We have a list of stuff we complained about at the resort. Geoff talked to the owner (an Aussie) about just a few of them. She wanted to hire him on the spot! I guess we are just not the resorty type, we never feel comfortable at them - but they are very hard to avoid in Fiji.
We are back in the VIP lounge at the Nadi airport. We have procured our exit row seats, so hopefully the 12 hour flight to LA will be somewhat tolerable. We are having a real hard time believing that we will be back home on Friday. Looking forward to spending a couple of days with Liam and Ilana in LA.
I have to say that one of the highlights of this trip has been doing this blog. It was so good for us to be able to capture stuff before it got lost in the mind. It has also been a pleasure to be able to share it with folks back home. Plus everyone we met and talked to about it was also very interested and followed along. The other great feature is that all the pictures are now in albums and organized. We are going to look into turning the blog into a book. That should be a good project.
